The “Turn From Your Sins” To Get To Heaven Heresy

John 3:16-17, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”

I heard a wonderful sermon today from which I gleaned this edifying quote:

Legalistic Judaism is Today's Calvinism

I love this guy! It is becoming extremely rare to find a free grace preacher in these perilous times. Tragically, I'd guess that about 85% of Baptist churches today have succumbed to the Devil's falsehood that more than faith is required to get to Heaven. In addition, they falsely teach that you must be willing to “turn from your sins” to be saved, which the inspired Holy Bible doesn't teach. What saith the Scripture? Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.”

The shameful pastor of Campus Church at Pensacola Christian College (Jeff Redlin) is a liar! His clown sidekick Timothy Zacharias is a liar! God says so, not me. Bob Jones University today and their longtime president Steve Pettit are liars! They have ADDED man's words to God's Words, perverting the grace of God. Jesus paid for everybody's sins, He doesn't demand that you forsake your sinning to receive His payment for your sins.

Salvation vs Service - Truth and Love

God is so very good dear friend. Christ died on that cross to pay for your sins. He was buried but then came back from the dead. All that God requires for you to get to Heaven is that you BELIEVE Jesus Christ did it all for you. I love this quote from Pastor Yankee Arnold...

“Christ paid for my sins. If He paid for my sins, why would I have to go to Hell to pay for my sins? All He wanted me to do was believe that He did it all for me. That is the greatest news in all the world! And no man, no preacher, has the authority to change the Gospel message. Just because you don't see how it works, or understand how it works, you don't have to know—it ain't none of our business; but God says there is a Heaven and a Hell, and if you want to go to Heaven this is what you do, and your opinion don't count.” —Pastor Ralph Yankee Arnold, “Legalistic Judaism is Today's Calvinism”

That's truthful preaching! We need more free grace preachers today. The Devil is very subtle, a master deceiver and imitator (2nd Corinthians 11:13-15). Satan is a beautiful liar!

Jeremiah 10:21, “For the pastors are become brutish, and have not sought the LORD: therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flocks shall be scattered.”

This is one of my very favorite books. Michael P. Bowen grew up in private religious schools, seeing much spiritual abuse in his youth. Consequently, he became an atheist as a young man, but then gradually out of a hungry soul to find meaning in his empty life took an interest in Christianity. Unfortunately, Michael was being misled by dozens of famous big name preachers (e.g., Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen, Rick Warren, Ray Comfort, John Hagee, Beth Moore and others. Michael had churchianity without Christianity! Finally, he was blessed by God to hear a humble man of God named Hank Lindstrom (1940-2008), who preached a simple Gospel sermon called: "How Permanent Is Your Salvation," which opened Michael's eyes to the true Gospel and he got saved. Led by the encouragement of his godly mother, Michael wrote a wonderful helpful book titled: "I NEVER KNEW YOU," in defense of the only true free grace Gospel.
